Welcome to Mt. Lebanon Township, a southern suburb of Pittsburgh. Housing options in Mt. Lebanon include stately Tudors, Victorians & Colonials - many constructed of stone. Brick ranches and Cape Cods are also available, as are some very unique contemporary styled homes. An older, established community, new construction housing is not readily available.
Originally part of St. Clair, then Upper St. Clair and later Scott Township, Mt. Lebanon was created as a separate township on February 6, 1912. The Mt. Lebanon School District is well known for excellence in education.

The Mt. Lebanon Recreation Center is located in the main park just off Cedar Boulevard in Mt. Lebanon, PA. This smoke-free, alcohol-free building operates year-round. The first floor of the facility includes a regulation 200-by-85 foot main ice rink and a 60-by-80-foot studio ice rink. There is seating for more than 700 spectators, a snack bar and pro shop. Mt. Lebanon's 50-meter outdoor swim center offers lessons, competition and recreational swimming for people of all ages. Home to Mt. Lebanon's nationally known Aqua Club, the pool is the place to learn to swim in Aqua Club-sponsored lessons or to watch expert swimmers compete in annual meets. The swim center offers locker rooms, a tot pool, two water slides and other entertainment features, a snack bar and plenty of space for sunning on comfortable lawn chairs. It is always fully staffed by lifeguards.

Mt. Lebanon also offers indoor/outdoor tennis courts, platform tennis courts, bocce courts, a sand volleyball court, children's playground equipment, community rooms and picnic pavilions. The park system includes 200 acres in 15 parks and numerous parklets, 5 ball fields, 8 basketball courts, 8 children's play areas, volleyball and tennis courts, hiking trails and picnic shelters.

More than most suburban Pittsburgh neighborhoods, Mt. Lebanon is a walking community. Park your car, take a walk - you will find shopping, restaurants and businesses. Washington Road / Route 19 connects Pittsburgh to the South Hills and is lined with many shops and restaurants. Other areas of shopping and dining are available throughout the township, including the Beverly Road area, Bower Hill and Cochran Road. South Hills Village, Village Square and the Galleria are a few miles south. Only 7 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, Mt. Lebanon is an excellent location for traveling anywhere around the city.
